Features minor cosmetic changes and new Ingenium engines.

Land Rover has announced a facelift for the Range Rover Evoque compact crossover, which will be revealed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Below are the pictorial comparisons of the facelifted model with the outgoing Evoque.

Up front, the most noticeable change are the new LED headlamps and DRLs, which are more angled than the previous design. Though it is housed in an identical headlamp design, it replaces the Bi-Xenon projector lamps of the outgoing model.

While lower variants will retain the 2-bar grille, the top-spec Dynamic variant now comes with a honeycomb grille. Land Rover have also enlarged the air intakes of Evoque, which now feature slim LED foglamps on the upper portion. The 5-door model now comes standard with vents on the bonnet (previously standard on the 3-door model only), which further improves the dynamic appeal of the car.

The side profile of the Evoque remains virtually unchanged, save for the slightly-redesigned door mirrors and new three new alloy wheel designs.

Similar to the headlamps, the taillights also receive the full LED treatment with a redesigned cluster. The facelift also features a new tailgate spoiler that houses a wider, slimmer LED brake light.

The tailgate introduces a hands-free function, where the owner can automatically open and close it by waving his/her foot beneath the rear bumper.

Interior

The interior design of the facelifted Evoque remains identical. The only small changes are a new instrument cluster binnacle with an updated multi-information display, and new seats. Land Rover have also improved the build materials, now offering a broader specification range than before.

Equipment wise, the new Evoque now comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen display powered by the InControl Touch infotainment system. Higher variants feature InControl Touch Plus which can be spec'd with navigation, a pair of eight-inch video screens and wireless digital headphones for rear passengers, and an 11- or 17-speaker Meridian audio system.

Engines

The facelifted Evoque now comes with an all new 2.0L Ingenium diesel engine. The all aluminum engine will be available in two variants: 180 PS or 150 PS, the latter being 18 percent more efficient than the previous diesel unit.

For petrol fans, it will still retain the Ford-sourced 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, producing 240 PS. Transmission options haven't been confirmed yet, although it will most likely keep the 9-speed ZF unit from the previous model.

The pricing of the 2016 Range Rover Evoque will be announced closer to its respective market launch, although Land Rover claims it will be comparable with the outgoing Evoque.
