Range Rover SVAutobiography - Auto Expo 2016

Replaces the Autobiography Black trim level.

First showcased at the 2015 New York International Auto Show, the Range Rover SVAutobiography has made its Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2016. The range-topping trim level of the Land Rover Range Rover is designed and engineered by Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division.

It's with the introduction of the new generation model's SVAutobiography trim level that a dual-tone body colour has become available on a Range Rover. The Santorini Black upper body colour can be combined with nine colour choices for the lower body. There's a unique radiator grille finished in distinctive Graphite Atlas and polished chrome, and a special 'SVAutobiography' badge on the tailgate.

Inside, the switchgear including the engine start-stop button surround, rotary controls and the foot pedals are made from knurled aluminium. Distinctive materials are used for the cup holder and socket cover. Also available are new armrest adjusters with a premium design and easier operation.

The rear seat passengers are comforted with a chiller compartment and powered deployable tables. The rear pillars have solid aluminium coat hooks, and there are aluminium seat rail finishers and deep twist pile mohair carpet mats. The driver gets a special feeling much before entering the SUV, thanks to the knurled-finish Autobiography key fob.

The SVAutobiography is available in both standard- and long-wheelbase versions internationally, but in India, only the long-wheelbase version is available in this trim level. Engine choices include 4.4-litre LR-SDV8 turbocharged V8 diesel unit that produces 250 kW (335 hp) and 740 Nm of torque and a 5.0-litre LR-V8 supercharged V8 petrol engine that churns out 405 kW (543 hp) and 680 Nm of torque. Both engines come mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
