Range Rover Velar - Geneva Motor Show Live

The Range Rover Velar has made its motorshow debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. The Velar is Land Rover's fourth Range Rover model.

The Range Rover Velar is based on the Jaguar F-Pace's aluminium-intensive IQ platform and the most car-like Range Rover built to the date. The Range Rover Velar fills the gap between the compact Range Rover Evoque and the full-size Range Rover Sport. It measures 4,803 mm in length, 2,032 mm (mirrors folded)/2,145 mm (mirrors out) in width and 1,665 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,874 mm.

Land Rover will offer the Range Rover Velar in five engine models at launch: Velar 250 with 250 PS 2.0-litre Ingenium four-cylinder petrol engine, Velar P380 with 380 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine, Velar D180 with 180 PS 2.0-litre Ingenium four-cylinder diesel engine, Velar D240 with 240 PS 2.0-litre Ingenium four-cylinder diesel engine and Velar D300 with 300 PS 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine. 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system are standard.

Land Rover Velar customers will get to choose from three equipment lines: S, SE and HSE. Noteworthy features of the new luxury SUV are, full Matrix-Laser LED headlights with signature daytime running lights, 22-inch wheels, integrated rear spoiler, LED tail lights, flush deployable door handles, 20-way adjustable driver/passenger memory seats with massage and heating/cooling functions, full-colour head-up display, digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch HD display, Touch Pro Duo infotainment system which integrates two 10-inch HD touchscreens and 1,600-watt, 23-speaker Meridian Signature Sound audio system.

Land Rover will produce the Range Rover Velar in Solihull, UK and commence its sales in Europe and in over 170 markets worldwide in mid-July 2017.
