Renault India Pvt Ltd, headquartered in Chennai, India, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Renault S.A., France. Renault first entered the Indian market in October 2005. 

Renault manufactures its cars at the assembly plant situated in Oragadam, Chennai with a capacity of around 4.8 lakh units per year. Renault has also developed a network of over 320 sales and 269 services centers across the country to serve its customers.

In September 2008, Renault inaugurated its fifth satellite global vehicle design studio in Mumbai.

Logo

The logo has three parts: the traditional Renault diamond logo, a slogan, and a vertical gold bar. The slogan Renault Passion for Life suggests that by buying and driving a Renault brand automobile, a person can demonstrate that they too have a passion for life. The gold bar represents delight, faith, and flourishing whereas the silver shading represents the complexity and innovativeness of the iconic Renault brand.

The Fluence was the first model to be launched by Renault in India.

Sales unit

In June 2020, Renault recorded selling 2,441 units of the Kwid and 2,064 units of the Triber. Renault India sold 6,442 units of cars in July 2020.

Renault KWID

Price: Rs.2.94 - 5.07 Lakh

The Kwid is offered in a total of five variants: base-spec STD, RXE, RXL, RXT, and top-spec Climber. It is available in six different colors: Electric Blue, Fiery Red, Moonlight Silver, Zanskar Blue, Outback Bronze, Cool White.

Renault Kwid gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry, a converse stopping camera, manual AC, and a 12V charger for back travelers. \

Renault Kwid India Third Quarter

Renault offers the Kwid with two BS6 motors: 0.8-liter and 1.0-liter. While the previous is offered uniquely with a manual gearbox, the 1.0-liter variations get both 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT. The 0.8-liter variation produces 54PS and 72Nm, while the output of the 1.0-liter variation remains at 68PS and 91Nm.

The Triber is offered in four variants: RXE, RXL, RXT, and RXZ and is available in five colors: Electric Blue, Fiery Red, Moonlight Silver, ICE Cool White, Metal Mustard.

The Triber's proportions create a positive first impression.  Its width, which at 1739mm (without mirrors) is wider than the Maruti Swift, Hyundai Elite i20, and even the Honda Jazz. At 1643mm (without rooftop rails), it's taller than any cars of the Swift and the Baleno.  

Renault Triber Metal Mustard

Renault offers double front airbags, ABS with EBD, and backstopping sensors as standard all over variations. The top-spec RXZ variation includes side airbags, an 8-inch MediaNav touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and AC vents for second and third-row seats. The Triber highlights a modular seating arrangement, making it one of the most flexible vehicles under Rs 10 lakh. 

It is offered with a BS6-consistent 1.0-liter, 3-chamber petroleum motor that is evaluated at 72PS and 96Nm. This motor comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.

Renault Duster

Price: Rs.8.49 - 9.99 Lakh

Renault is offering the new petrol-only Duster in three variants: RXE, RXS, and RXZ. It is available in seven colors: Pearl White, Mahogany Brown, Moonlight Silver, Slate Grey, Cayenne Orange, Caspian Blue Metallic, Outback Bronze.

It provides double front airbags, ABS with EBD, backstopping sensors, and front safety belt updates as standard. It additionally packs ESP and hill-start aid in higher variations. There's a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that assists Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and another 6-speaker system with Arkamys sound tuning. Auto climate control with back AC vents, projector headlamps with DRLs, and LED taillights are some of the different features available. 

New Renault Duster Front Third Quarter

The BS6 Duster is accessible just with a petroleum engine. Its petroleum engine is a 1.5-liter unit that makes 106PS/142Nm and can be had uniquely with a 5-speed MT.
