Revolt electric bike to offer selectable artificial exhaust notes

To entertain the petrol-head amongst us, Revolt Intellicorp will include artificial exhaust note in its upcoming electric bike. The company has teased the bike's selectable exhaust notes via its social networking channels. Regular readers would know that new electric bike from Revolt Intellicorp will be unveiled and launched in Delhi tomorrow (18 June).

The electric motorcycle will work with a smartphone application through which the rider can choose an exhaust note. The teaser video shows at least four exhaust notes on the screen of the smartphone. As seen in the video, the rider switches from a single-cylinder motorcycle’s exhaust note to the sound of an in-line four-cylinder engine.

The company tweeted:

Why should a bike sound the same every day? Stay tuned as we unveil India's 1st AI-enabled motorcycle this June 18th.

The idea of incorporating the sound of an internal combustion engine on an electric motorcycle does sound fun, but we need to see how well does the concept works in real life. We would also find out the name of the new motorcycle at the launch event. The company’s first model was spotted on several occasions in the past via spy photographs. IAB’s digital artist had created a rendering of the upcoming model using all the details available. Revolt Intellicorp’s founder, Rahul Sharma, said in an interview last month that the company would disrupt India’s two-wheeler market.

Apart from the different exhaust notes, the upcoming Revolt Intellicorp product would come equipped with three riding modes – economy, city and sports. The riding modes will change the throttle response and consequentially affect the range of the motorcycle. The ARAI certified range stands at a commendable 156 km.

In terms of performance, the company had claimed a top speed of 85 km/h. However, Sharma stated in the interview from earlier this month that the bike could reach a max speed of 100 km/h.

Upcoming Revolt Electric Bike To Receive Artificia
Revolt Intellicorp's smartphone app will let the rider control the exhaust sound from the electric motorcycle to offer an engaging ride experience.

The premium feature list on the upcoming electric motorcycle from Revolt Intellicorp will include full LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster with LTE (4G) connectivity. Other hardware specs will consist of upside-down front forks and a monoshock at the back and disc brake on both wheels. We expect to see the safety net of dual-channel ABS on the upcoming bike.
