IAB Report - Rolls Royce Maharaja Phantom Drophead Coupe celebrates 'India' in Dubai

Features a peacock emblem on the body.

Rolls Royce has unveiled a bespoke Phantom Drophead Coupe that pays homage to the many Indian Maharajas who have all established a close relationship with the British brand. Offering unprecedented amount of customization, luxury, and engineering, a Rolls Royce has always been the status symbol of the Maharaja during the early 20th Century.

Dubbed as the Rolls Royce Phantom Maharaja Drophead Coupe, the model will be - surprisingly - exclusive to Dubai only, and has already gauged the interest of wealthy Indian communities and car collectors in the Middle Eastern city. It will be available for sale at the AGMC dealer, the sole distributor of Rolls Royce Motor Cars in Dubai.

The exterior of the Maharaja Phantom is finished in Carrera White with an emblem of a peacock on the body, and features the characteristic hand painted coach line in Emerald Green. Fold the Deep Green soft top, and it reveals a plush interior that is upholstered in Creme Light leather and Emerald Green, and trimmed with hand-polished wood.

Like the exterior, the interior also has the peacock emblem embroidered on the headrests in Emerald Green and Cobalto Blue, as well as peacock feather designs on the armrests. The analogue bespoke clock is finished in Cobalto Blue and adorned with Jade elements.

Otherwise, it is powered by the same 6.75-liter V12 engine that produces 453 hp and 720 Nm of torque. It's coupled to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels, and helps the 2.5-tonne plus car to waft from 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 240 km/h.
