Royal Enfield Classic 500 ABS prices revealed

On September 10, IAB reported the on-road prices of the new Classic 500 Stealth Black ABS variant. The model has been priced at INR 2.45 lakh (on-road Mumbai). Today IAB has received the prices of all the ABS-equipped Royal Enfield models that are currently on sale.

After the Signals and the Himalayan, the Royal Enfield Classic 500 range has received the safety of ABS. Prices for the ABS-equipped Classic 500 range start from INR 2,42,570 (on-road, Mumbai).

The most affordable Royal Enfield model with ABS is the new Signals 350. Launched in August 2018, the motorcycle is available at an on-road price tag of INR 1.90 lakh. The second most affordable Royal Enfield motorcycle available with ABS is country's first home-grown adventure tourer, the Himalayan. The standard Himalayan ABS is available at INR 2.18 lakh (on-road) while the Sleet variant will cost you a premium of INR 2,000.

The Classic 500 range, too, has received the ABS upgrade. The standard Classic 500 ABS is available for INR 2.42 lakh (on-road) while the Desert Storm and Stealth Black variants have been priced at INR 2.45 lakh (on-road). The Classic 500 Chrome ABS is available for INR 2.54 lakh (on-road).

Apart from the addition of dual-channel ABS, there are no mechanical changes the models. The newly launched Royal Enfield Signals uses a 346 cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine which delivers 19 hp of maximum power and 28 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission.

Royal Enfield Himalayan/Himalayan Sleet, too, continue to use the 411 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that develops 24.5 hp of maximum power and 32 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed transmission.

The Classic 500 range gets the 499 cc single cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine which makes 27.2 hp of power and 41.3 Nm of peak torque. The engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Chrome is currently the most expensive variant in the country. It has been priced at INR 2,54,378 (on-road, Mumbai).

Deliveries of the Signals and the Himalayan ABS have commenced while the new Classic 500 ABS range is expected to roll out from the showrooms in the coming days.
