Royal Enfield Bullet 350X starts arriving at dealerships, launch imminent

As reported recently, Royal Enfield plans to launch new variants of its existing models. One of these new variants will be an 'X' variant of the Bullet 350, spy shots posted by Autocar India have revealed. The Bullet 350X has started arriving at dealerships, hinting imminent launch.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350X will reportedly be cheaper than the standard Royal Enfield Bullet 350 and the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 ES.

For starters, the new variant of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 carries the same styling. The Royal Enfield Bullet 350X will be available in more colour options than the standard model. The X badge variant drops most of the chrome and uses blacked-out parts. The two paint options seen in the spy photographs include complete black treatment to the engine, while the others feature a brushed silver finish to the crankcase and the head.

Unlike the Thunderbird X series, which comes with alloy wheels, the Bullet 350X uses wire-spoke units. The spokes retain the chrome finish, while the walls get a black coloured finish.

The Bullet 350X retains the retro styling, and thus you would find a round headlight with chrome mask at the front and the same cockpit features as the standard motorcycle. However, some changes are visible on the fuel tank. The Royal Enfield branding on the dark colour options retains the standard font used by the company. The blue and the grey variants, on the other hand, use a different style for the insignia.

All styling features following the saddle are identical on the complete range, and you would find ribbed-style pattern cover on the single-piece seat and black side panels with Bullet 350 branding among other details. Hardware specifications, too, remain similar to the standard Bullet 350 range. Thus, stopping power comes from a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the back. The safety net comprises a single-channel ABS. Shock absorption department is handled by conventional front forks and twin-sided springs at the back.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350X is presumably powered by the same BS-IV compliant 346 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder motor that churns out 20.07 PS of max power at 5,250 rpm and 28 Nm peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox. The BS-VI upgrade that will bring fuel injection technology will take place by early next year.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350X will be available in more colour options. The standard variant, for example, comes in black paint.

While the 350X has started to reach the dealerships, there is no news about a Bullet 500X. The 350X will reportedly be cheaper than the standard Bullet 350 that retails at INR 1.21 lakh*. The Bullet 350 ES is available at INR 1.34 lakh*.
