Royal Enfield Classic 500 Lagoon showcased at BIMS 2017

Royal Enfield exports only the 500 cc variant of the Royal Enfield Classic.

The Royal Enfield Classic 500 in the 'Lagoon' paint scheme has been showcased at the Bangkok International Motor Show 2017. The bike gets a white paint stripe on the front and rear fender.

The Royal Enfield Classic 500 gets a 499 cc mill capable of producing 27.2 bhp of maximum power and 41.3 Nm of peak torque.

At the heart of the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Lagoon is a 499 cc single cylinder, air-cooled mill. Coupled to a 5-speed gearbox the fuel injected engine is capable of producing 27.2 bhp of maximum power at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The bike tips the scales at 190 kg (kerb).

The bike is suspended on 35 mm telescopic forks up front and twin gas charged shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload.

The export variant gets a 19-inch front wheel (the Indian trim gets 18-inch wheel at both ends) and an 18-inch wheel in the rear. The bike can store 13.5-litre of petrol and has a seat height of 725 mm. Brakes include a 280 mm disc up front with a 2 piston caliper and a 153 mm drum setup in the rear.
