The Pegasus Edition was scheduled to go on sale in India on 10 July; however, the official Royal Enfield website crashed as a result of ‘unanticipated technical difficulties.’ The company is yet to announce the revised sale date for the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition. Announced on 1 June, the Classic 500 Pegasus Edition costs at INR 2.49 lakh (on the road, Mumbai).

The Classic 500 Pegasus Edition pays tribute to the World War II used Royal Enfield RE/WD 125 ‘Flying Flea.’ The Pegasus Edition is limited to 1,000 units globally, with 250 units earmarked for India and 190 units assigned for the UK. In addition to motorcycles, buyers receive military-style canvas panniers with a Pegasus Logo, Pegasus T-shirt, and a helmet.

The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition is available in two colour options - Service Brown and Olive Drab Green. However, Indian buyers only get the Service Brown colour scheme, as the Indian government forbids the sale of vehicles with military green colour. The maroon and blue Pegasus emblem with a dedicated serial number on the official Parachute Regiment badge adorns the fuel tank, while the 'Made Like a Gun' graphic enhances the battery box. The emblems and logos on the Pegasus Edition are identical to the World War II Flying Flea motorcycle.

The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition receives brown handlebar grips and a leather strap with brass buckles on the air filter box. The headlight bezel, wire-spoke wheels, kickstart pedal and exhaust system, feature matte black finish. Royal Enfield has also launched a range of official Pegasus accessories like t-shirts, helmets, caps, lapel pins, etc. to accompany the limited-edition model.
