The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition was scheduled to go on sale at 2 PM on 10 July. However, the company’s official website crashed as a result of ‘unanticipated technical difficulties.’
Royal Enfield fixed the server and provided a revised sale schedule of 8:30 PM on 10 July. However, the sale date and time had to be postponed. When contacted, the Royal Enfield officials said, “We are currently working on it and will soon release the revised sale schedule for the Classic 500 Pegasus”.

Yeah, the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition goes on sale shortly. Suffice to say we will sell out within a few seconds, even faster than the Royal Enfield Classic Squadron Blue edition. I mean it depends on how fast you are with the online process. I will not share the numbers, but they are in multitudes of thousands who have shown interest, which is not a surprise to us. And we didn’t want to price it higher because we want to make it accessible. We will remain authentic, yet an accessible brand.
The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition, announced on 1 June, is priced in India at INR 2.49 lakh (on the road, Mumbai). The Pegasus Edition pays tribute to the Royal Enfield RE/WD 125 ‘Flying Flea,’ used during World War II. The Classic 500 Pegasus Edition is limited to 1,000 units globally, with 190 units earmarked for the UK and 250 units assigned for India.
Customers will also get a t-shirt from the Pegasus collection, military-style canvas panniers with a Pegasus Logo, and a helmet. The Pegasus Edition is available in two paint schemes - Service Brown and Olive Drab Green. However, only the Service Brown colour is available for Indian buyers, as the government prohibits the sale of vehicles with military green colour.
The motorcycle features the official Parachute Regiment badge with maroon and blue Pegasus emblem on the fuel tank along with a dedicated serial number, while a 'Made Like a Gun' graphic embellishes the battery box. The logos and insignias on the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition are identical to the actual World War II Flying Flea motorcycle, which was used by the 250th (Airborne) Light Company.
The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition features a leather strap with brass buckles across the air filter and brown handlebar grips. The exhaust system, wire-spoke wheels, headlight bezel, and kickstart pedal are in matte black. The company has introduced a range of official Pegasus accessories like t-shirts, lapel pins, helmets, caps, etc. to accompany the limited-edition model.
