Royal Enfield Classic 500 in Squadron Blue launched at INR 1.93L - IAB Report

MotorBeam reports that the Royal Enfield Classic 500 has now been launched in Squadron Blue colour, at an on-road, Mumbai price of INR 1,93,972. It is now the fourth colour after Classic Black, Classic Silver and Classic Tan.

The Squadron Blue is the fourth colour in the palette of the RE Classic 500, after Classic Tan, Classic Silver and Classic Black.

The Royal Enfield Classic 500 is powered by a 499 cc air-cooled single-cylinder Twinspark engine with a Keihin Electronic Fuel Injection system, that is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The motor produces 27.2 bhp at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm at 4,000 rpm.

Last month, Team-BHP reported the new colours to be introduced in the 2016 model year of select RE motorcycles.

The motorcycle is based on a Single downtube chassis that uses the engine as a stressed member, a 35 mm telescopic fork with 130 mm of travel, twin gas-charged shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload at the rear that have 80 mm of travel, 280 mm disc brake with two-piston caliper upfront, 153 mm drum brake of single lead internal expanding type at the rear, 90/90-19 front tyre and 120/80-18 rear tyre.
