Royal Enfield Classic 500 Steroid 540 cafe racer
Bulleteer Customs have worked on a Royal Enfield Classic 500 and transformed it to a power packed cafe racer. Called the Steroid 540, the bike gets cosmetic as well as mechanical updates.
The Bulleteer Customs have kept the engine mods secret. They claim that the Steroid 540 can sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in under 9 seconds and can record a top speed of 154 km/h. The stock 499 cc air cooled, fuel injected mill is capable of producing 27.2 bhp of maximum power at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm.
Unlike most cafe racer customisations, the Steroid 540 has been given a macho and beefy look. The bike gets a 190 mm Metzeler tyre while the front gets a 120 section. This helps the bike emerge as a track focused tool.

Dedicated to the British motorcycle racer Barry Sheen, the Steroid 540 gets a fuel tank shaped like the one in the Royal Enfield Continental GT. This one though is 4 inches wider. The headlamp gets LEDs while the upswept custom exhaust lends the bike a sporty yet rustic appeal. The seat too has a classic appeal.
Royal Enfield is also working on a twin cylinder powertrain which is expected to hit the streets this year..
