Royal Enfield Continental GT gets a new Green color; Yellow discontinued - IAB Report

The Continental GT was launched in India in November 2013.

The Royal Enfield Continental GT will now be available in a new GT Green body shade, whereas the Yellow color has been discontinued. The Continental GT is now offered in a total of three body colors - GT Red, GT Black and GT Green.

A 535 cc single-cylinder engine powers the cafe-racer.

Launched in November 2013, the Continental GT is priced at INR 1.92 lakhs, ex-Showroom, Mumbai. It is powered by a 535 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled unit capable of 29.1 bhp at 5,100 rpm and 44 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

The cafe racer gets a telescopic suspension up front, Paioli twin gas charged shock absorbers at the rear, a 300 mm Brembo floating disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear, and Pirelli Sport Demon tyres.

The Continental GT is now offered in three colors.

Royal Enfield's product portfolio extends to the Continental GT, the Thunderbird 350 and 500, the Classic series of 350 and 500, the Bullet 350 and 500 and the Bullet Electra. The brand will introduce its touring motorcycle, the Himalayan, in the weeks to come. Apart from entering a new segment, the Royal Enfield Himalayan will also introduce the new engine family for the company. It is set to be powered by a 431 cc single-cylinder engine which is reported to develop 30 bhp and 32 Nm of torque.
