Royal Enfield Himalayan turned into a scrambler by Smoked Garage Indonesia

Folks at Smoked Garage Indonesia took a standard Royal Enfield Himalayan and gave it a makeover by adding some bling to the package. For starters, the stock paint of the adventure tourer was scraped out, and the fenders were removed. The beak from the standard motorcycle has been tossed out from the window, and the stock front fender has been replaced with a compact, aftermarket unit.

The modified Royal Enfield Himalayan drops the adventure tourer look for a scrambler style persona. The motorcycle receives heavy revisions to the styling that makes it even more appealing

The halogen headlight from the factory is swapped out for an aftermarket headlamp that, although continues with a spherical shape, should offer better illumination. The windscreen goes out from the package, and the modified version features a scrambler-like styling. A tall-set handlebar continues to perform the steering duties, but the addition of bar-end mirrors adds a retro look to the Himalayan.

The fuel tank is the stock unit although it gets a chrome finish that gives it an old-school look. An aftermarket, single piece seat with a tan leather finish replaces the factory fitted split unit and sits on a revised sub-frame. The rear of the motorcycle gets a high set fender along with aftermarket tail lamp and blinkers. The new setup gives the modified Himalayan a clean and minimalistic look.

The standard motorcycle does not get a bash plate, but the modified Himalayan comes with a custom unit that should offer decent protection to the engine from various elements on the beaten path. The black finish to the bash plate gels well with other blacked out panels of the customised bike. Sides reveal new panels and an aftermarket exhaust that replaces the standard units. The motorcycle would go off-road, and thus the wire-spoke wheels come wrapped in a knobby set of tyres.

The braking and suspension setup has been retained from the standard motorcycle, and thus you would see conventional telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The modified bike keeps the fork gaiters to protect the oil seals from damage. Stopping power comes from a disc brake at the front and a disc at the rear.

Aftermarket additions to the modified Royal Enfield Himalayan include new headlight, bash plate, custom saddle and revised sub-frame.

Smoked Garage Indonesia has given the motorcycle a unique look that makes it stand out from the crowd. The form is complemented by the functional design that makes this particular Himalayan more off-road ready than the standard motorcycle and it deserves applause.
