Royal Enfield Himalayan Sleet walkaround [video]
The Royal Enfield Himalayan Sleet was launched yesterday, and here’s a walkaround video of the adventure tourer.

Apart from the camouflage paint job, the Royal Enfield Himalayan Sleet comes with the Explorer kit as standard. The kit includes water-resistant aluminium panniers with a capacity of 26 litres each; pannier mounting brackets; off-road style aluminium handlebar with cross brace for added strength, handlebar end weights for additional protection; and an engine guard with black powder coat finish.

Apart from the accessories, the bike is the same as the existing Himalayan. Powering the bike is a single cylinder 411 cc SOHC mill. With fuel injection, the engine generates 24.5 bhp of power at 6,500 rpm, and 32 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm. A 5-speed transmission does duty in the motorcycle. The engine nestles inside a half-duplex split cradle frame. For suspension, the motorcycle employs 41 mm telescopic front fork, and a rear monoshock with linkage. A 300 mm front and a 240 mm rear disc handle the braking responsibility.

Compared to the normal variant, the Sleet is approximately INR 28,000 more expensive. It costs INR 2,12,666, on-road Chennai. The bike’s production run is limited to only 500 units, and the bike can be purchased through Royal Enfield’s official website.
