The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is available in six colour options - Mark Three (Black), Orange Crush, Silver Spectre, Ravishing Red, Glitter & Dust (Chrome) and Baker Express. While the motorcycle had been on sale since November last year, deliveries of the Baker Express colour scheme have begun recently.

The Interceptor 650 Baker Express features a dual-tone white and red colour scheme for the fuel tank. Additionally, the motorcycle has a black finish on the fenders, headlight nacelle, outer rims and the centre hub. Apart from the cosmetic changes, the bike has no differences. Royal Enfield sold 629 units of the 650 twins in India in December last year, and the Interceptor 650 is the motorcycle that is attracting more customers.

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is powered by the 648cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, 8-valve SOHC motor that produces 47 bhp of power and 52 Nm of peak torque. The engine works with Royal Enfield's first six-speed gearbox, and the bike has a slipper clutch as well. Although being a high-displacement motor, it offers relatively conservative output. However, the power delivery is linear throughout the rev range with a pretty flat torque curve.

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 doesn't come with any fancy equipment or electronics. Suspension duties are carried out by conventional telescopic front forks and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the back. Electronic wizardry is limited to dual-channel ABS. The company has taken a conservative approach to offer a pure old-school motorcycling experience to its customers.
