The program, as the name suggests, allows customers to personalise and customise their motorcycles at the time of purchase. The initiative gives the option to customise the motorcycle with the accessories right at the booking stage. The genuine and homologated parts and accessories selected by the customer will be factory-fitted. The accessories come with a two-year warranty.
The program aims to save the customer the hassle of purchasing the stock motorcycle and then buy the accessories separately. In the initial phase, the initiative will be available at 141 stores across 6 cities – Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.
ArrayThe list of accessories available under the Royal Enfield "Make Your Own" initiative include:
Engine guards
Luggage solutions such as panniers, rear luggage rack
Touring seat
ARAI compliant alloy wheels
Fuel tank and side panel stickers
The Make Your Own program, however, will only be available for customers who are booking the latest Classic 350. Royal Enfield will roll out the customization option to other models in a phased manner. The new, single-channel ABS variant of the Classic 350 is available at INR 1,45,975*. In comparison, the dual-channel ABS costs INR 1,53,903*.
Speaking about the new initiative, Vinod Dasari, CEO Royal Enfield said:
Make Your Own is a unique project and a reflection of our creative riding community that has inspired us. With Make Your Own, buyers will be able to book and customise their motorcycle in just a few easy steps right at the booking stage. This new initiative allows customers to engage closely with the brand and experience more avenues with accessories and personalization.
Apart from the single-channel ABS and a drum brake at the back, the Classic 350 continues to feature the same hardware and engine specifications as the dual-channel ABS version. Thus, the hardware specifications continue to boast telescopic forks at the front and gas-charged, 5-step preload-adjustable twin springs at the back in the shock absorption department.
