Seat Leon Cross Sport - 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show Live

The Seat Leon Cross Sport concept has been unveiled at the 66th Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA) in a near-production form.

The pseudo-crossover is a three-door concept with the Leon Cupra's front fascia and a 20V20 crossover concept-resembling rear. The design inspiration from the Leon X-perience estate can also be seen on the Leon Cross Sport concept, judging from the blacked-out bumper, contrast skid plates, blackened side skirts, and the raised ride height. The alloy wheels are 19-inch units. Other features include LED headlights, two-tone exterior theme and a quad-tailpipe sports exhaust package.

Seat says that the interior features a black and orange colour scheme, with upholstery made of leather and Alcantara. An infotainment system that supports integration of both Android and iOS devices, is provided.

The Seat Leon Cross Sport concept is driven by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, that pumps out 300 PS (220 kW) maximum power and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) peak torque.  It is teamed up with a 6-speed DSG (Dual-Clutch Transmission) that sends power to a permanent (Haldex) All-Wheel Drive system. The car can shoot from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.9 seconds.

The company had recently announced a 3.3 billion euro investment (INR 24,868 crores) over four years' time for R&D projects at the Seat Technical Centre (CTS), for new vehicle development, and expansion of its Martorell factory.

Seat had also revealed that four new vehicles will be introduced in the next two years.
