Interior of India-bound Skoda Kodiaq revealed - Video
Will be launched in India in 2017.
Skoda has revealed the interior of the India-bound Skoda Kodiaq ahead of its world premiere in Berlin in Germany on 1 September, 2016. Multiple images and a video give a complete interior overview of the new model.
The Skoda Kodiaq's door panels, instrument panel, steering wheel and dashboard are very similar to that of the Skoda Superb, but a differently designed centre console with vertical HVAC vents and a different layout of the infotainment system sets it apart from the latter. The all-black interior features a blue strip on the door panels and chrome trim on various elements to avoid looking bland.

The Skoda Kodiaq is 4.70 metres-long and 1.88 metres-wide. It will be available in 5- and 7-seat versions, and the former offers 720 litres of boot space which can be increased to 2,065 litres by folding the rear seats. Without going into further details, Skoda rounds up by adding that the Kodiaq will get door edge protection, electric child safety and sleep headrests, as well as optional heated steering wheel.

The Skoda Kodiaq is based on the Volkswagen Group's MQB platform and will be available with three TSI petrol and two TDI diesel engine options initially. These engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission seen in the interior images or a DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Skoda Kodiaq will likely be launched in Europe towards the end of 2016 and will reportedly go on sale in 2017 in Europe and the Indian market.
