Skoda Kodiaq launched in India, priced at INR 34.50 lakh
Skoda has launched the Skoda Kodiaq in India, its fourth new model this year. The company’s first large SUV costs INR 34,49,501 (ex-showroom pan-India).
The Skoda Kodiaq is available in India only in the three-row, 7-seat version. The Indian-spec version Kodiaq measures 4,697 mm in length, 1,882 mm in width and 1,665 mm in height. It offers a ground clearance of 188 mm. Under the hood, there’s a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine producing 150 PS and 340 Nm of torque. The 7-speed DSG transmission and a four-wheel drive system are standard. ARAI has given a fuel economy rating of 16.25 km/l in this configuration.
The Skoda Kodiaq may not have a very powerful engine for a vehicle its class, but it makes up for that with its appealing design and a long list of styling, technology, comfort and safety equipment. On the outside, the large SUV features full-LED headlamps with LED DRL, headlamp washers, LED fog lamps, chrome surround for radiator grille, chrome window frames, LED puddle lights, 18-inch Trinity alloy wheels, LED tail lights, gesture tailgate and electrically-adjustable panoramic sunroof. Moon White, Lava Blue, Quartz Grey and Magic Black are the colour choices.
Much chrome is used inside the Skoda Kodiaq, for the door sill trims with ‘KODIAQ’ inscription, door handles, ring on instrument cluster dials, steering wheel trim and frames of the AC vents, AC controls, gear-shift console and headlight switch. The front seats have 12-way electric adjustment and electric adjustment lumbar support, and the driver’s seat has three programmable memory functions too. Stone beige leather upholstery makes the cabin look very premium.
Other noteworthy interior features include LED ambient lighting with ten colour options, Climatronic 3-zone climate control system, 8-inch Amundsen touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink and 575-watt Canton sound system with ten speakers, including a speaker in the dashboard and subwoofer in the luggage compartment.

The Skoda Kodiaq’s deliveries in India will commence in the first week of November.
