Just a minor update, probably limited to China.
The current, third generation Skoda Octavia was introduced in early-2013 and is expected to receive its mid-life facelift next year. Meanwhile in China, Skoda seems to be working on a small update for this year. Sina, a Chinese publication, has published spyshots of what seems to look like a minor nip-and-tuck for the Chinese-spec Octavia. The headlamps seem to feature new signature LED lighting, while the front bumper has been tweaked for a sportier styling. Also new, are sleek foglamps and an updated lower grille – both adorned with chrome strips below them. The rest of the car remains unchanged.
The global Skoda Octavia will receive a substantial facelift next year. Reports say, there will be a new pair of twin headlights somewhat similar to what Mercedes-Benz used for the previous generation Mercedes E-Class. The new look has already been previewed in a speculative rendering.

While the current engines will probably remain more or less unchanged, save for a few possible efficiency tweaks, there will be a new three-cylinder engine introduced with maximum power output ranging from 90 to 120 hp, which will be 10% more fuel efficient than the currently offered four-cylinder engines. This could be a 1.0-litre TSI petrol unit which is currently used for a number of Volkswagen Group models.
