Based on the Fabia, the Skoda Roomster is a five-seater MPV which went on sale sometime in 2006. Being one of the quirky ideas from the Czech car maker, the Roomster, as the name suggests, is a hugely practical hatchback. A commercial van variant which goes by the name Skoda Praktik, is also available.

This is the special edition Skoda Roomster Noire. It sports a black themed exterior comprising of blackened (smoked) headlights, black outside rear view mirrors, black center pillars, black grill, tinted windows and black 16-inch Comet design alloy wheels.

Although the black exterior color (seen in these pictures) complements the other black colored parts, the Noire is also available in Corrida Red, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Black Magic and Cappuccino Beige.

Inside the car you get two-tone sport leather seats which come in a black or red color. A perforated leather gear knob with red stitching adds to the sporty package of the car. Stainless steel pedals and a three-spoke steering wheel complete changes to the Roomster Noire.

For now the Roomster Noire edition seems to be available only with a 1.2-liter TSI engine, the same as the Indian VW Polo GT TSI.

Otherwise the Roomster is available with a choice of four petrol engines and four diesel engines. The range starts from a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol (which is also used on the Indian VW Polo and Skoda Fabia), a 1.2-liter TSI petrol, 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engines (which we've seen in India as well).

The diesel range starts with a four-cylinder 1.2-liter and extends to a 1.9-liter diesel engine.
