Skoda Superb Combi teasers released ahead of Frankfurt debut

The Czech-based and Volkswagen-owned automaker Skoda, has outed teaser images of the around the corner Skoda Superb Estate that debuts at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

The Estate version, compared to the sedan, will score better in practicality with its larger boot space. However, from experiences in the past, companies will think twice before instituting estates in India. Indians have accepted station wagons poorly, be it a 5 lakh or a 15 lakh rupee vehicle. Not even a single luxury car makers in today's crop tried importing estate models in spite of the sedans, which they are founded on, enjoying a respectable status in our country.

Offered with the new Superb Estate, will be a spread of engines including a 1.4 TSI powerplant (with various versions, ranging from 125HP to 170HP) and the top-end 260HP 3.6 liter V6. Diesel engines will also come, including a 170HP 2.0 liter TDI.
