Skoda VisionS SUV concept announced; debuts in Geneva - IAB Report
Previews the design of the upcoming SUV.
Skoda's future SUV, that has been dubbed by the European media as the Skoda Kodiak, will be previewed by the Skoda VisionS Concept at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Skoda has sent us three sketches that uncover the design of the SUV. Note that Skoda has already confirmed the SUV' launch for 2016.
Skoda says that its SUV will be larger than the Yeti, with a length of 4.70 meters, a width of 1.91 meters, and a height of 1.68 meters. It features three rows of seats, and carries the brand’s new emotional appeal.
The VisionS features a high-set LED headlight, while the logo and vertical bars have crystalline elements which the company says is its way to pay tribute to the Czech art of crystal-glass design.
The side view has a strong SUV character, with a sharp "tornado line" spanning the full body width. The wheel arches have been made angular to emphasize the vehicle's off-road character, whereas the sloping roofline with a long spoiler tries to give the car the look of acceleration even when parked.

The rear of the Skoda VisionS has a strong diffuser insert, large exhaust pipes, and shallow rear lights with dynamically cut crystalline housings. The signature Skoda C-graphic is present on the rear light which runs into the bumper reflectors.
