At the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Skoda will unveil the Skoda VisionS, a six-seater SUV concept. Yesterday the company confirmed that it will evolve into a new mid-size SUV in H2 2016. While a confirmation hasn't come, French media reported that it would be called the Skoda Kodiak.
"Skoda's six-seater SUV show car provides an insight into the brand's future large SUV that will be showcased in the second half of 2016," the brand said in a press release. The design sketches of the concept indicates a very aggressive design and muscular styling for Skoda's flagship SUV.
Up front, there's a new iteration of the familiar 'butterfly' grille, sleek, dual-beam headlamps with compact fog lamps positioned below them, a full-width radiator grille with vertical air scoops at the ends and subtle creases on the hood. At the sides, the door mirrors appear to have LED strips and the roofline smoothly tapers, giving the greenhouse a shortened, sporty look at the rear.

Squared fenders and large wheels are among other appealing design elements of the SUV. More about the concept's design will be revealed in the next few days.
While the Skoda VisionC concept was the precursor for the third generation Skoda Fabia and third generation Skoda Superb, the Skoda VisionS concept will be used for the company's crossover/SUV lineup.
The Skoda Kodiak will be based on the Volkswagen Group's MQB platform, and reports say, have a 5-seat version too. Expected to be the Czech automaker's flagship product with advanced features like bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, panoramic sunroof, electric tailgate, Columbus and other infotainment systems based on Volkswagen Group’s MIB technology (Modularer Infotainment-Baukasten) with satellite navigation and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and Canton sound system.
