Skoda Auto, according to a report on Economic Times, will launch the Skoda Yeti facelift in July.
The company had showcased the SUV at the 2014 Auto Expo alongside the new Superb, calling it a "rejuvenated" car. Since the launch in 2010, the company has sold over 4,500 examples and assembles it at its Aurangabad CKD plant.
The Skoda Yeti facelift premiered globally at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, featuring a new exterior design, interior and feature updates, in 'Outdoor' and 'Style' variants.
The five-seat SUV gets refreshed front and rear sections and would be launched in the 'Outdoor' version in India. Stylists have refreshed the bumpers, intakes, under-ride protection, door mouldings, sills giving them a black lacquered finish.
Bi-xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, multi-function steering, electronically adjustable driver's seat, tire pressure monitoring, and keyless start complete the list of features.
The interior is minimally different, getting Skoda’s new 3-spoke steering wheel, new seat fabrics and dashboard trim.
The vehicles retains the mechanical kit - powertrains are a 110 PS 2.0 TDI mated to a manual five-speed gearbox, and a 140 PS 2.0 TDI mated to a manual six-speed gearbox - the former being a front-wheel drive and the later coming in all-wheel drive.
