Chevrolet Enjoy wins the most spotted car of the year award at IAB!

The incoming flood of Chevrolet Enjoy spy shots had us convinced that it deserves the 'Most spotted car of the Year 2012' award, here at Indian Autos Blog. We're creating an award, and an award function just to honor this car!

GM India has released countless number of Enjoy test mules on Indian roads in the last year and our readers from all parts of the country had sent in their catches regularly. The latest spy shots are from our avid reader Mr. Nischal Ram who spotted the mule at Belandur near Bengaluru.

According to him, the car was doing some serious speeds and was a bit aggressive while changing the lanes, perhaps the car was being tested for highway stability?

Mr. Ram also reports that the car was quite nimble and does not look as boxy as the Nissan Evalia. He says that it seemed spacious.

The Enjoy will be built at GM India's Halol plant in Gujarat and that explains the Gujarat license plates. The car was donning alloy wheels suggesting that it was a top of the line model.

The Enjoy will be in the showrooms by early 2013 and apart from the claimed class leading space, the car will heavily rely on its 78 PS 1.3 litre XSDE (GM India's version of Fiat MultiJet) diesel engine to lure the potential customers.

The top of the line Enjoy LTZ variant will have 2+2+3 seating arrangement and customers will be offered the "GM 3 year promise" service and maintenance pack as an option. The Enjoy is a rebadged, and re-engined Wuling Hongguang van from China.
