Our ardent reader Mr. Ram Shankar has spotted this camouflaged test mule of the car in Ambattur near Chennai. This time we get a good look at the interior. As expected, there isn't any noticeable difference in the interior and that benefits the economies of scale. The dual tone black and beige color scheme is also retained.

The tail lamps of the car is mounted on the C-pillar and looks like an extension of the roof rail. The license plate sits on the boot lid. Mr. Ram Shankar also reports that the rear windshield appears to be fixed and only the boot lid is openable like a conventional sedan.

From the interior trims and alloy wheels, we can say that the car spotted is a high end variant. The front fascia of the car looks exactly the same as its sedan brother, however we suspect that there could be at least subtle differentiating design elements in the Verito CS' bumper and grill.

The baby Verito is most likely to feature only the 1.5 litre K9K diesel engine which puts out 65 bhp of power. The Renault engine is found in many Nissan and Renault cars in India and is known for its driveablity within the city. Mahindra doesn't have a 1.2 litre petrol engine which could comply with the sub 4 metre norms but given that the demand for petrol cars is next to nothing, Mahindra needn't worry.

According to Dr. Pawan Goenka, President of Mahindra's automotive sector, the Verito CS would be launched by the end of March.
