Spied - Mahindra E2O caught testing again

Mahindra Reva is all set to bring in their urban electric mobility solution, the Mahindra E2O sooner than later.

The test mules of E2O (to be pronounced as E-two-oh) are being tested exhaustively throughout the country and we already brought you the spy shots of the electric car which was spotted in Bengaluru and in a Mahindra service station in Chennai preparing for the big examination.

Here are a few more spyshots of the car sent in by our avid reader Mr. Bairesh Raj. The car was caught when it was on a highway test.

The E20 will be the first product to roll out of the Reva's brand new facility at Bengaluru and also is the first product to be commercialized after Mahindra acquired Reva. The Mahindra E2O which was originally named as NXR debuted at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and was also showcased at this year's New Delhi Auto Expo.

The electric car has a compact footprint and is designed to tackle the urban jungle without burning a drop of fossil fuel. The two door E20 can seat two adults at front and two kids at the back.

The power comes from a 39.4 bhp electric motor which is supported by a 48 volt Li-ion battery pack. The range is expected to be around 160 km and the car has a top speed of 105 kph.

The Mahindra E2O is expected to be launched before the end of 2012.
