In addition to revealing the exterior and interior of the Grand i10 Nios for India, Hyundai has released the first full sketch of the Euro-spec third-gen i10. The Euro-spec all-new model will be unveiled at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Hyundai I10 Europe Sketch
The all-new Euro-spec Hyundai i10 will have the same wheelbase as the all-new Indian-spec Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.

Like in the second generation, the Euro-spec Hyundai i10 will have a slightly different design in the third generation. While it's obvious that it will not be as aggressive looking as it appears in the sketch, which exaggerates the design and makes it look like a hot hatch sporting oversized wheels, the front-end will be sportier with the relatively compact Cascading grille, larger lower air intake, fog lamps with DRL set on the Cascading grille at its outer ends and a more stylish bumper. Also, the Euro-spec version will likely feature LED fog lamps.

The Euro-spec all-new Hyundai i10 has been designed and developed in Europe, and it will be produced there only. This time, it switches to the longer wheelbase as the Indian-spec version switched in the second generation. In other words, there's only one wheelbase version globally in the third generation.

As for the engine options, the 67 PS 1.0-litre and the 87 PS 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol units will likely be joined by the 100 PS 1.0-litre 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit from the Kia Picanto. It remains to be seen if the old 4-speed automatic transmission from the first- and second-gen models will be offered in the third-gen model in the Old Continent or a 5-speed automated manual transmission will replace it.

Hyundai has confirmed that the revamped Euro-spec i10 will be kitted with a range of new Connected Car features including Blue Link connectivity app, Apple Car Play, Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging and a rear-view camera. Apart from that, its safety kit will also see the inclusion of Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning and Lane Keep Assist System as standard. Customers in Europe will also be able to opt for High Beam Assist feature.
