Ssangyong Actyon Sports gets updated in Korea

Last week, we brought you spy shots of the Ssangyong Actyon Sports spotted in India. Now it seems that the double cab pickup truck has undergone an update back home in Korea.

Ssangyong calls the update as 'Series 2014' and says that numerous improvements have been made to the car. To start with, a few new exterior color options has been added to the car. Also, depending on the variant you choose, a new alloy wheel design is on offer as well. The windshield wipers of the car has been updated to provide a better (read larger) wiping surface.

Inside, the Actyon Sports has numerous changes. First among which are new colors for the interior including the side moulding of the car. Apart from this, Ssangyong has also tweaked the headrests to provide better comfort.

Additional options such as heated steering wheel,  leather upholstery, heated seats, automatic climate control and parking sensors can now be specced on the Actyon Sports.

While Ssangyong had shown the Actyon Sports at the 2012 Auto Expo, it remains to be seen whether the double cab pickup would be launched in a non-existent premium pickup market in India.

The existing 2.0-liter turbo diesel producing 155bhp remains unchanged however. It can be ordered with either an automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission.

While the Actyon Sports was shown at the Delhi Auto Expo last year and subsequently we've seen the car on roads, it remains to be seen whether Mahindra would even consider launching the Actyon Sports in India as the market for a lifestyle pickup truck is almost non-existent.
