Ssangyong Rexton W launched in Italy in three variants
The Ssangyong Rexton W has just entered Italy and the prices have been announced.
Like most other cars, the Ssangyong Rexton W has better equipment in Europe than its Indian counterpart. To start with, the South Korean SUV gets the homegrown 2.0 litre XDi diesel instead of the old Mercedes derived 2.7 litre 5-cylinder unit that powers the Indian version of the car.
The 2.0 litre engine has 155 bhp and 360 Nm on tap and is mated to either a manual or an automatic transmission. The rated fuel economy for the manual car is 13.7 kpl while the 4WD automatic manages 12.8 kpl.
The entry level variant drives only the rear wheels via a manual gearbox. The base variant comes equipped with four airbags, ABS, ESP, automatic climate control, cruise control, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, 40:60 split seats (third row), rear parking sensors, Bluetooth connectivity, audio system with steering mounted controls and 6 speakers.
The high end version of the car is equipped with 4WD system and is available only with the automatic transmission. The goodies include tire pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, 18" alloy wheels and optional features like Alpine multimedia system with 6.1" touch screen, metallic paint, rear view camera and leather interior.
