SsangYong Tivoli compact SUV set for global debut in Geneva, sales start in May - IAB Report

The Tivoli will be powered by 1.6-liter petrol and diesel engines.

SsangYong has announced that the Tivoli will make its global premiere at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, and will go on sale in Europe and other markets from May 2015.

At launch, the Tivoli will only be available with a new e-XGi 160 - a 1.6 litre petrol engine.

Back in mid-January 2015, SsanYong had officially revealed the Tivoli in South Korea and the features in tow. The Ssangyong Tivoli borrows design cues from XIV Air and XIV Adventure concepts that were unveiled at the 2014 Paris Auto Show.

At launch, the Tivoli will be only available with a new e-XGi 160 - a 1.6 litre petrol engine that delivers 124 bhp and 157 Nm of torque. It will come paired to a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission, and is capable of achieving 12.3 km/l (manual) and 12 km/l (automatic).

From July, SsangYong will introduce a 1.6-liter diesel unit.

At the moment, Mahindra is undecided on bringing the Tivoli to India.
