SsangYong XLV – Auto China 2016 Live
Will be launched in China in June.
Following its world premiere at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and South Korean market launch last month, the SsangYong XLV (SsangYong Tivoli Air) has made its Chinese debut at Auto China 2016 (2016 Beijing Motor Show). SsangYong has announced that it plans to start the sales of the XLV in China in June 2016. Along with the XLV, the South Korean automaker displayed six other models also at the ongoing international motor show in Beijing, including its main models in the country – Korando and Rexton.
The SsangYong XLV is essentially an extended, more practical version of the SsangYong Tivoli that was launched last year. It shouldn't be mistaken as a long-wheelbase version though, as the wheelbase remains unchanged from Tivoli - 2,600 mm. The length, width and height of the XLV are measured at 4,440 mm, 1,795 mm and 1,635 mm respectively. There's 720 litres of luggage space in the boot, which can be increased to 1,440 litres by folding the rear seats.
The SsangYong XLV (SsangYong Tivoli Air) in South Korean specification is powered by 1.6-litre e-XDi LET diesel engine that produces 115 PS (114 hp) and 30.6 kg.m (300 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission or an Aisin-sourced 6-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive system is available optionally.
