Subaru XV Concept – Geneva Motor Show Live

Previews second generation Subaru XV.

The fourth generation Subaru Impreza range saw the addition of a lifted crossover version, the Subaru XV (Subaru Crosstrek). With the Subaru Impreza range moving to its fifth generation later this year, the Subaru XV is also set for a full redesign. The second generation Subaru XV has been previewed by the Subaru XV Concept at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

As expected, the Subaru XV Concept's design is reminiscent of the Subaru Impreza 5-Door Concept and the Subaru Impreza Sedan Concept that were introduced late last year. The crossover concept is 4,520 mm long, 1,920 mm wide and 1,570 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,670 mm. It stands on 245/50 R19 tyres and offers seating for five people.

The concept is presented an exclusive blue-gray colour named 'Glacier Khaki Silica'. Up front, the concept boasts the hawk-eye headlights and features a mix of silver, matte black and active orange on the strong shapes of the hexagonal grille.

The profile gets the sporty and rugged appeal with matte-black cladding running from the front bumper over the wheel arches and side sills to the rear bumper. The sleek glasshouse and door mirrors, roof rails and orange accents on the wheels give the concept an outdoorsy feel.

Moving to the back, the tail lamps feature the C-shape lighting pattern like the headlamps and the bumper is also adorned with a balance of silver, matte-black and active orange colours.
