Suzuki Celerio launched in 2 variants - Philippines

Bookings were opened last month.

Suzuki Philippines has launched the Suzuki Celerio, after having opened bookings on July 13. The car, imported from Thailand, is launched with manual and automatic transmission (CVT), costing PhP 5,07,000 (INR 7.07 lakhs) and PhP 5,42,000 (INR 7.56 lakhs) respectively.

The car is powered by the 1.0-liter K10B engine that develops 67 hp and 90 Nm, matched to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT.

The Celerio is 100 mm longer, 70 mm taller and has a 65 mm longer wheelbase, giving it more interior space than its predecessor, the Suzuki Alto. With these modifications, the Celerio is 3,600 mm long, 1,600 mm wide and 1,540 mm tall, and has a 2,425 mm wheelbase.

The model sold in Philippines is the Thai-spec and comes with dual airbags, ABS and side impact beams. The car has Suzuki's patented Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) concept that consists of crushable structures which absorb impact energy, and the use of High-tensile steel for major body parts, says the company.

There is only one engine option, which is the K10B 1.0-liter, three cylinder petrol unit capable of 67 hp and 90 Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed manual or a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

Snow White Pearl, Star Silver Metallic, Ablaze Red Pearl, Super Black Pearl, Mineral Gray Metallic, Cerulean Blue, Raspberry Pink and Sunshine Yellow are the exterior colours on offer.
