Suzuki Ciaz could get discontinued in Indonesia - Report
Suzuki Indomobil Motor introduced the Suzuki Ciaz in Indonesia at GIIAS 2015 and launched it in November 2015. The B-segment sedan hasn’t received much success in the country and could get discontinued, suggests a report from Kompas.
Suzuki Indomobil Motor sold only 35 units of the Suzuki Ciaz in Indonesia last year, which was its first full year of sales. This year, from January to November, the company has sold 30 units of the sedan. This means that the annual sales figure could worsen this year, making a stronger case for discontinuation. Indonesia sources the Suzuki Ciaz from Thailand, not India.
R. Uchiki, GM (Strategic Planning Department), Suzuki Indomobil Motor, has confirmed that the Ciaz is still on sale in Indonesia and its stock is available in the country. However, he cannot confirm whether the official import and sales will continue.

The Suzuki Ciaz competes with the likes of Honda City and Toyota Vios in Indonesia. It is powered by the K14B 1.4-litre petrol engine that produces 92 PS and 130 Nm of torque. There are two transmission choices: 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic. It costs IDR 281,700,000 (INR 13,32,441.00) in the manual transmission model and IDR 291,800,000 (INR 13,80,214.00) in the automatic transmission model.
