India-bound New Suzuki Ertiga races to 6,772 orders in Indonesia - Report
The 2018 Suzuki Ertiga debuted at IIMS 2018 on 19 April, and it went up for pre-orders at the annual Indonesian show. Within 70 days, it has received 6,772 bookings in the archipelago.
The news was revealed by Harold Donnel, Suzuki Indomobil Sales’ Head of Brand Development and Marketing, to CNN Indonesia. The second generation Suzuki Ertiga has received a strong initial response in its first market. It is available in GA, GL, GX and GX ESP grades. Most customers have ordered the MPV in the GX grade. This grade includes features like LED rear combination lamps, keyless entry, push start/stop button, ventilated cup holders, leather steering wheel, wood trim and 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The new generation Suzuki Ertiga is based on the lightweight and rigid Heartect platform. It measures 4,395 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,690 mm in height. It offers 153 liters of boot space, which is expandable to up to 803 liters. Suzuki’s brand new K15B petrol engine powers the 7-seat family van. This 1.5-litre VVT naturally aspirated four-cylinder mill delivers 104.7 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. It is married to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The Suzuki Ertiga’s prices start at Rp. 193,000,000 (INR 9,29,761.58) and go up to Rp. 238.500.000 (INR 11,48,954.08) in Indonesia.
The 2018 Maruti Ertiga’s local testing is underway, and its launch will reportedly ensue in August. Beginning with the second generation model, Maruti Suzuki could sell the MPV exclusively through the NEXA outlets. A crossover version aimed straight at the Honda BR-V is also in the plans. It is said to arrive by 2020.
