The 250 cc naked roadster, which will most likely be christened 'Gixxer 250', will arrive in a few months, probably during the festive season. It will carry forward all the main features of the Gixxer SF 250. It will come equipped with LED headlight and tail lamp, fully digital instrument console, a split-saddle, a two-piece pillion grab rail and a dual-channel ABS. The ergonomics might see a revision, and unlike the Gixxer SF 250’s clip-on style handlebar, the naked roadster will most likely have a single-piece unit to perform the steering tasks. Unlike on the Gixxer SF 250, the riding stance will be upright.
Naturally, the engine mounted will be the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250's 249 cc single-cylinder, 4-valve, SOHC, fuel-injected engine with Suzuki Oil Cooling System, paired with a six-speed gearbox. However, while the fully-faired motorcycle gets it in the BS-IV version with a BS-VI upgrade to follow in the coming months, the naked roadster may employ directly the BS-VI version. For reference, the BS-IV version delivers 26.5 PS at 9,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The fuel tank capacity will be the same - 12-litres.
The Gixxer SF 250 weighs 161 kg (kerb). The naked roadster, with the absence of a full fairing design, should be a few kilos lighter and may weigh around 156-158 kg.
Braking setup will include disc brakes on both wheels along with the safety net of dual-channel ABS as standard. Shock absorption duties will be performed by conventional telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the back. The alloy wheel design will be the same, and the Gixxer 250 will feature silver highlights to the spokes. The wheels will be wrapped in 110/70R-17M/C front and 150/60R-17M/C back radial tubeless tyres.

The pricing will most likely be lower than the Gixxer SF 250’s INR 1,70,655* tag. Expect the naked roadster to cost around INR 1.65 lakh*.
