The Gixxer would be showcased at upcoming motor shows and trade fairs in Japan.

According to a report on the Economic Times, Suzuki Motorcycle India is looking to export the Gixxer premium commuter motorcycle to its home market in Japan. The report states that bikes such as the Gixxer are witnessing increasing demand in Japan, prompting Suzuki's Indian operations to consider exporting the motorcycle from its Manesar plant.

Suzuki sells about 6,000-7,000 units of the Gixxer each month in India.

Suzuki has, in the past, successfully exported small- and mid-size motorcycles from its plants in China, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia to Japan. The Gixxer will be showcased at upcoming motor shows and trade fairs in Japan to gauge public reaction and response, after which a market launch will take place if favorable demand exists.

The Gixxer is powered by a carburetor-fed 154.9 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine capable of 14.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm matched to a 5-speed transmission. The 135 kg motorcycle gets a telescopic fork up front and a 7-step adjustable monoshock at the rear.
