The importer will sell the quarter-litre Gixxer SF at ¥3,99,000 (or approximately INR 2.58 lakh – price includes tax). For reference, Suzuki Motorcycle India launched the Gixxer SF 250 ABS at INR 1,70,655 (ex-showroom Delhi). The quarter-litre products from Suzuki Motorcycle India will presumably go to the Japanese shores via CBU route. A team from Japan recently came to India for additional information about the newly launched SF model.

Folks in Japan seem to be excited, as a lot of Twitterati who follow the importer have expressed interest in the motorcycle. The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 isn’t the only Indian bike that will be imported into Japan by Bikers Station SOX. The company already offers other India-made products like the Honda NAVi, Suzuki Burgman 125, Yamaha MT-15 and the KTM 125 Duke among others. Bikers Station SOX imports vehicles from other countries too.

The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 packs premium features such as LED headlight, tail lamp, digital display and dual-channel ABS as standard. Hardware specifications match its rivals, and the Gixxer SF 250 features single disc brake at the front and back, conventional front forks and rear monoshock.

Mechanical specifications of the quarter-litre model include a 249 cc fuel-injected, single-cylinder, 4-valve, SOHC engine with Suzuki Oil Cooling System that is linked to a six-speed transmission. The motor makes 26.5 PS at 9,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of max torque at 7,500 rpm.

The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 will be joined by a naked roadster and cruiser motorcycle in the Indian market in the future.

The followers of the page were also interested in the naked roadster variant of the Gixxer SF 250. Regular readers would know that the company would launch the Gixxer 250 roadster in the Indian market by the end of the year. The Gixxer SF will share engine and hardware specifications with the fully faired Gixxer SF 250, although the naked roadster will feature upright ergonomics with the use of a flat, single-piece handlebar. Suzuki is reportedly working on a quarter-litre Intruder cruiser motorcycle also.
