Suzuki GSX-S750 to be launched in mid-2018 - Report

BikeAdvice reports that the Suzuki GSX-S750 may be launched in the country in mid-2018. The brand showcased the motorcycle at the Auto Expo in Greater Noida in February.

The motorcycle comes with halogen headlamp with LED DRLs.

Suzuki announced that it will bring the GSX-S750 into the country via CKD route. Consequently, the pricing is likely to be competitive, just like the Hayabusa. The motorcycle’s styling is a scaled-down version of the Suzuki GSX-S1000. It features a multifunctional instrument cluster, single piece handlebar for a comfortable riding position.

The engine is a 749 cc in-line four unit with liquid cooling and fuel injection. In the UK market, it punches out 114 PS at 10,500 rpm, and 81 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The engine works in conjunction with a 6-speed gearbox. Key electronic aids include three-mode traction control; low-rpm assist; and Suzuki Easy Start System.

The motorcycle has the potential to be one of the most affordable middle-weight naked bike with touring capability.

The Suzuki GSX-S750 rides on KYB upside down front fork, and a link-type rear monoshock. For braking, it uses Nissin radial callipers with 310 mm twin petal discs and a rear disc, both with ABS. The motorcycle weighs 213 kg, kerb. The bike’s 16-litre fuel tank will make it a potent touring machine. The chief rivals for the Suzuki GSX-S750 would be the Triumph Street Triple range, Kawasaki Z900 and Yamaha MT-09.
