Suzuki Hayabusa & Suzuki GSX-R1000R at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show - Live

Suzuki has showcased its performance models, the Suzuki Hayabusa and the Suzuki GSX-R1000R at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show. Here are the bikes’ live images from the show.

Suzuki Hayabusa:

The legendary Peregrine Falcon needs no introduction. Suzuki has blessed this motorcycle with a plethora of modern technologies to make this motorcycle one of the fastest in its segment. The 1340 cc in-line four engine makes 197 PS of power and 155 Nm of torque. The powerplant pairs with a 6-speed transmission with Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS). The engine features three power mappings. It can be controlled via Suzuki Drive Mode Selector.

The Hayabusa incorporates a fully adjustable 43 mm KYB upside down front fork with Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating. The rear gets a link-type monoshock. For anchorage, the bike uses 310 mm dual front discs with Brembo Monobloc callipers. The rear uses a 260 mm disc with a single piston calliper. Bridgestone BT-015 tyres wrap the alloy wheels and are specially developed for this motorcycle. The bike comes with a massive 21-litre fuel tank and tips the scales at 266 kg, kerb.

Suzuki GSX-R1000R:

The Suzuki GSX-R1000R is the more hard-core version of the GSX-R1000. The Japanese company has designed and engineered the bike to be as close as its MotoGP counterpart when it comes to performance and dynamics. Setting apart from its normal variant, the R1000R is equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter, racing launch control, LED position lights, lightweight battery and a unique black LCD instrument panel display. The cycle parts are uprated as well, with fully adjustable Showa BFF (Balance Free Front) fork and Showa BFRC Lite (Balance Free Rear Cushion Lite) rear monoshock.

The 999.8 cc in-line four-cylinder engine makes a whopping 197 PS of power at 13,200 rpm. The peak torque stands at 117 Nm at 10,800 rpm. The engine sits inside an all-new aluminium perimeter frame that weighs 10% less. For braking, the motorcycle comes with dual 320 mm T-drive discs with Brembo Monobloc radial callipers; and a single rear 220 mm disc with Nissin single piston calliper. Both the brakes feature ABS. The bike gets a 16-litre fuel tank and weighs 203 kg, wet.
