IAB Report - Suzuki Let's and Gixxer unveiled in India [Galleries updated]

Suzuki Motorcycles India Limited has unveiled the ‘Gixxer’ motorcycle and the 'Let's' scooter in Mumbai today. The company is not launching these products today, and therefore neither the pricing nor complete specifications are available now.

Suzuki says the vehicles will be brought to the Auto Expo, and the Gixxer will be launched by August.

The Suzuki Gixxer is a single-cylinder 150 cc motorcycle that is Suzuki's flagship model that will have "exceptional riding performance" and "best fuel economy in class", the company announced today. The motorcycle is built on a light and stiff frame for sporty handling and the carburettor-fed engine is "new and powerful".

The Gixxer is fitted with disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear.

The Let's scooter is powered by a 112.8 cc engine that delivers 8.7 hp @ 7,500 rpm and 9.0 Nm @ 5,500 rpm. It returns 63 kmpl in the company's test conditions. It is "practical, light and fast" and has a good dose of practicality with "cut away floor boards for easy handling".

When it is launched, the Let's will come in five colours - Metallic Triton Blue, Pearl Mira Red, Glass Sparkle Black, Pearl Mirage White & Metallic Sonic Silver.

Suzuki officials said at the unveiling that they plan to increase the number of outlets from 600 to 1,000.
