Suzuki previews its next gen superbike design via the Suzuki GSX concept - IAB Report
Previews the next generation Suzuki Hayabusa.
Suzuki has released a photograph of a superbike clay model, the motorcycle based on which is bound to be unveiled as a design study at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, that opens on 28 October. Dubbed the Suzuki GSX concept, the model will serve as a design study and preview the upcoming iterations of the company's litre-class products.
According to the company, the GSX concept “gives form to Suzuki’s inline-four sportbike-making spirit and evokes a cocoon from which the company’s future sportbike models will be born.”
Among the Suzuki superbikes that will take notes from the GSX concept, are the next generation versions of the Hayabusa, GSX-R1000 and the GSX-S1000. Of these, the new GSX-R1000 is anticipated to be unveiled at the 2015 EICMA, Milan in November.
The salient design features that this clay model reveals, are slender headlamp flanked by what appears to be DRLs, air-vents beneath the latter and both bracketed by turn indicators, a tall visor, a hefty fuel tank, a wide seat, an expansive tail piece, and a nuggety silencer.
