The Paris Motor Show is going to be big for Suzuki. The compact car manufacturer from Japan will give us a teaser of the next generation SX4 - a popular vehicle sold as a hatchback, crossover and sedan worldwide - with a new design study.

Branded as the Suzuki S Cross Concept, the concept car has already been previewed with teasers.

A new teaser image has been posted by Suzuki giving away details on the rear of the concept car that is a precursor to the hatchback version of the SX4. A set of sharply-designed tail lamps, rear LED DRLs and a strip of LEDs for braking are the highlights of the S Cross Concept.

The new SX4 has been the point of discussion on the interweb since the year began. A set of spyshots of a test mule revealed that the the vehicle is going to be bigger.

Unlike the previous generation SX4 which was built in partnership with Fiat, the replacement will not involve any Fiat engineering. Fiat is taking a different route with the Sedici (the rebadged SX4) and may appoint the 500X as its replacement.

The design will be influenced by newer Suzuki models such as Kizashi. The revamped interior is reportedly getting a series of new technologies. A wide range of engines are in store, right from 1.6L to a range topping 2.0 liter four-cylinder with an output of about 150 hp.

The new SX4 will head to showrooms sometime in late 2013 or early 2014.
