Suzuki Swift RS launched in South Africa

Last week, Suzuki introduced a special edition Suzuki Swift as its first new model in South Africa this year. The limited edition Suzuki Swift is called Suzuki Swift 1.2 RS and gives a sporty styling to the car.
Similar to the Maruti Swift RS, the Suzuki Swift 1.2 RS is based on the Suzuki Swift 1.2 GL manual which is a very popular configuration of the small hatchback in the country. The exterior has been treated with addition of special dark blue-finished front and rear spoilers and special dark blue-finished side skirts to make the car look lower and give it a sporty stance. Other exterior highlights include custom dark machined rims on Goodyear Dura tyres, special dark blue sporty decals and RS lettering, and a tailgate spoiler.
Inside, in addition to the Suzuki Swift 1.2 GL's standard equipment, the Suzuki Swift 1.2 RS features custom seat covers. Speaking of standard equipment, the RS variant is packed with a four-speaker sound system with Bluetooth and USB, dual-front airbags and ABS.

The Suzuki Swift 1.2 RS is powered by the K12M 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 62 kW (83.11 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The fuel economy is rated at 18.87 km/l.
