Thailand Live - 2015 Suzuki Swift RX launched
Features include projector headlamps and paddle shifters.
A new Thailand-exclusive top-end version of the Suzuki Swift has been launched at the ongoing 2014 Thailand International Motor Show. Called the Suzuki Swift RX, this version is priced at 599,000 Baht (equivalent to INR 11.31 lakhs) in the country.
On the outside, it gets HID projector headlamps, 16-inch alloys, a rear-mounted spoiler, full body kit, body graphics, and 'RX' badging. On the interior, the car comes with features like keyless entry, dual airbags, push-button start, steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, and cruise control. The usual black interior is available with silver accents to break the monotony, while the audio system comes with USB connectivity.
Powering the car is a 1.25-litre K12B petrol engine that makes 91 PS (89.75 bhp) of power and 118 Nm of torque. It's mated to a seven-speed automatic, continuously variable transmission (CVT) which can be operated using the above mentioned paddle shifters. Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS and EBD.

In India, Maruti Suzuki too recently updated the Swift hatchback with some new features. While there's no paddle shifters (or an automatic gearbox for that matter) the new version here does get LED daytime running lights, push button start, and increased fuel efficiency.
