SWM SuperDual T showcased in India

The SWM SuperDual T was showcased at the Great Trail Adventure event in Pune, India. Motorcycle rider Deelip Menezes’ gives us a detailed look at the bike with his pictures.

The high ground clearance and spoke wheel make it a potent mid-capacity adventure motorcycle.

The motorcycle on display comes with twin hard-case lockable panniers, crash guards with auxiliary lamps, windscreen and a tail rack. These accessories are reportedly standard fitments; and the bike tips the scales at 169 kg, dry, including the accessories. Instrumentation is an all-digital affair, and the seat is 898 mm high. Motoroyale, which brings SWM to India will reportedly offer a 20 mm lower seat as an option as well.

The motorcycle rides on upside down adjustable front fork, and an adjustable rear monoshock. The bike comes to a halt using Brembo brakes, with petal disc up front and a conventional disc at the rear, both with ABS. The 19-inch front and 17-inch rear are shod with Metzeler Tourance tyres measuring 110-section and 140-section respectively. As per the Motoroyale official, the bike is likely to cost INR 6.5 lakhs, ex-showroom; and will be launched in July.

The more off-road friendly variant, the SuperDual X will reportedly come with features like a larger front tyre and a longer wheelbase. Key rivals for the SWM SuperDual would include the Kawasaki Versys 650, Benelli TNT 600 GT, and perhaps entry-level Triumph Tiger 800 range.
